“Where are the children?” podcast by Silent Victims of Crime non-profit explores the urgent and important societal question, what happens to the children when a parent is incarcerated? Current statistics states that there are 2,7 million children experiencing parental incarceration right now and 70 % of children of prisoners may end up in the prison system.

Every month we will be bringing in experts in prison reform, child development, trauma, healing and education

Meet the hosts of the podcast:

Tinkerbell Paulette Pfeiffer, Second Generation Holocaust Survivor and Founder of Silent Victims of Crime and We Stand for Kids. She has worked with children of incarcerated parents for 27 years. @silentvictimsofcrime

About Silent Victims of Crime and the five circles of support.

Silent Victims of Crime has served over 1,000 children in 27 years and we do everything we can to ensure that no child in our program goes to prison through providing a strong support system with the five circles of support:

  1. Youth empowerment programs.

  2. Parent programs.

  3. Caregiver support.

  4. Community collaboration.

  5. Mentoring & peer support.

Our Vision:

Our programs have yielded great success in our families’ lives and we want to be able to expand it nationwide as our vision is to break the intergenerational cycle of incarceration.
